  • Leather vs fabric for car interior

Deciding on the kind of car interior to select when buying a car? This is a common question we have to ask ourselves as there are two types of seat interiors you can select, fabric or leather. If you’re in the market to buy a new car, your options may be more flexible as compared to a used car search. With a new car search, you can have the factory customize everything starting at the type of stitching style, all the way to the seat color. Unfortunately, in a used car scenario, you would most likely have to compromise with the options you have available to you. Another factor to consider when you’re deciding between leather or fabric is the cost. Typically, vehicles with the equivalent spec, but with leather, will cost you more than cars with fabric. One thing that makes leather more desirable over fabric is the ease of cleaning. If you, for example, spill some ketchup on fabric, it will leave a stain. With leather, you can simply use a wet paper towel to wipe it off without the spill leaving a stain. If you live in a region that gets a lot of sunlight, fabric may be more appealing to you as you don't have to worry about burning your skin when sitting in a car that has been parked all day out in the sun. These are some of the most common factors to consider when deciding on buying a car with either fabric or leather interior.
